When in a relaxed state of mind Time Based Techniques, allows you to explore past memories or unresolved issues that may be relevant or have an impact on your present day. All behaviours and beliefs have been learnt through our experiences, so by accessing a significant memory you can take learnings and see if that behaviour is still serving you a purpose, and if not you can make a change.
